Buying Articulate 360 in the UAE: A Guide for L&D Teams

Jason Satterlye-learning, UAE

You can buy Articulate 360 in the UAE either online from Articulate or through an official Articulate partner, which gives you a local invoice and help with set up, training and renewals. Most organisations need Articulate 360 Teams, because the seats belong to the company and can be moved between people. Personal is for one individual, usually a freelancer.

This guide covers what L&D and procurement teams in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC ask us before they buy: which plan, how many seats, what the subscription includes, how to pay, and how to get a return on the licence once it lands.

What is Articulate 360?

Articulate 360 is a subscription to Articulate’s e-learning authoring apps and services. It includes Storyline 360, used to build interactive, slide based courses with scenarios, branching and custom interactions, and Rise 360, used to build responsive courses that work well on a phone. It also includes Review 360 for collecting feedback from reviewers, the Content Library of templates, characters and images, and Articulate’s own training webinars.

Articulate adds and changes features over time. In 2026 that includes AI Assistant, which helps authors draft and edit content, and Localization, which translates courses into other languages. Which features come with which plan can change, so confirm what your plan includes when you get a quote. Our page on Articulate AI Assistant and Localization explains what each one does.

Articulate 360 Teams or Personal: which do you need?

The two plans give you the authoring apps. The difference is who owns the licence and how it is managed.

Choose Teams if the licence is paid for by your organisation and used by your staff. If an employee moves on, you can reassign their seat instead of buying a new one, and your courses and review projects stay with the company. Choose Personal if you are an independent developer building courses for several clients.

A common mistake is buying Personal licences for employees because each one looks simpler. It works until someone leaves, and then the organisation has no way to move that licence to their replacement.

How many seats do you need?

Count the people who will build or edit courses, not the people who will take them. Learners never need an Articulate licence. They take the published course in your learning management system (LMS) or through a web link.

A practical way to size it:

  • One seat for each person who will author courses every week.
  • Reviewers, such as subject experts, managers and compliance officers, comment through Review 360 and do not need their own seat.
  • If someone only updates a course two or three times a year, consider whether a colleague with a seat can make those changes instead.

Our free Articulate 360 licence chooser asks a few questions about your team and suggests a plan and seat count.

How to buy Articulate 360 in the UAE and the GCC

There are two routes.

  1. Buy online from Articulate. You pay by card on articulate.com. This suits a single Personal licence.
  2. Buy through an official Articulate partner. You get a written quote, a local invoice your finance team can process, and a named contact for set up, training and renewals.

Capytech is an official Articulate partner in the Middle East. We supply Articulate 360 to organisations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, and we use the same software every day on our own client projects. That means we can answer the practical questions, such as how a feature behaves in an Arabic course, as well as the commercial ones.

Before you ask for a quote, have these ready:

  • the plan (Teams or Personal)
  • the number of seats
  • the billing name and address for the invoice
  • the email address of whoever will manage the seats
  • whether you need training for your developers

How Articulate 360 pricing works

Articulate 360 is an annual subscription. The price depends on the plan, the number of seats and the term. Articulate reviews its prices from time to time, so a quote from last year is not a safe guide to this year.

We do not publish prices on our website because they depend on these factors. Ask for a licence quote and we will send you a written quote for your organisation.

Building Arabic courses in Articulate 360

Storyline 360 and Rise 360 both support right to left text, so you can build Arabic and bilingual courses. Arabic needs care with:

  • fonts that display Arabic clearly at every size
  • text alignment and reading order
  • mirrored layouts, so menus, progress bars and navigation make sense to an Arabic reader
  • buttons and interactions that move the way an Arabic reader expects

Plan the language from the start. A course designed in English and translated at the end often needs screens rebuilt to fit the longer or shorter text. Our earlier guide to localising e-learning courses covers the planning steps.

Will Articulate courses work in your LMS?

Yes. Storyline 360 and Rise 360 publish to the standard formats, including SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 and xAPI, so courses run in any standards based LMS and report completions and scores. If you do not have an LMS yet, Siraj, our own AI-powered LMS, runs Articulate courses in English, Arabic or any language your workforce needs.

Getting a return on the licence

A licence pays for itself only when your team publishes courses people use. The organisations we see get the most from Articulate 360 do three things.

First, they train their developers early. Rise 360 is quick to pick up, but Storyline 360 rewards structured training, especially for triggers, variables and Arabic layouts. We run Storyline 360 training for new teams and masterclasses for experienced developers.

Second, they start with a real course. Pick one piece of training that is delivered live today, such as an induction or a safety briefing, and build it as the first project. Our free PowerPoint to e-learning checklist sets out the steps.

Third, they get help with the big or urgent projects. When a launch date is fixed and the team is busy, our developers can build the course in Articulate 360 and hand over the source files, so your team maintains it afterwards. See custom e-learning development.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy Articulate 360 in the UAE with a local invoice?

Yes. Buying through an official Articulate partner such as Capytech gives you a written quote and a local invoice, which is usually easier for finance and procurement teams than a card payment to an overseas website.

What is the difference between Articulate 360 Teams and Personal?

Both plans give you the authoring apps, including Storyline 360 and Rise 360. Teams licences belong to the organisation and can be reassigned when people change roles. Personal is one licence for one individual, usually a freelancer.

Do learners need an Articulate 360 licence?

No. Only the people who build and edit courses need a seat. Learners take the published course in your LMS or through a link, and reviewers comment through Review 360 without a seat.

How much does Articulate 360 cost in the UAE?

The price depends on the plan, the number of seats and the term, and Articulate reviews its prices from time to time. Ask an official partner for a written quote for your organisation.

Does Articulate 360 support Arabic?

Yes. Storyline 360 and Rise 360 support right to left text, so you can build Arabic and bilingual courses. Arabic courses need care with fonts, alignment and mirrored layouts, so plan the language from the start.
