Why it matters

Translated E-Learning Loses the Learner on the First Screen

Arabic-speaking employees can tell within seconds when a course was written in English and translated. Text runs the wrong way, buttons sit in odd places, examples come from another country and the voiceover sounds like it was read, not spoken. Completion rates fall and nobody says why.

We build Arabic e-learning the other way round. Instructional designers who think in Arabic plan the course, writers draft in Arabic, designers lay out right to left from the start, and native speakers record and review. English versions, when needed, are built alongside.

What is Arabic e-learning localisation?

Localisation adapts an existing course for Arabic-speaking learners: translated text, re-recorded audio, re-laid-out screens, culturally appropriate images and examples, and assessments checked for meaning. It is more than translation, and it is only the right choice when a good English course already exists.

What you get

Arabic E-Learning Done Properly

Arabic-first design

Courses planned and written in Arabic, with Modern Standard Arabic or a lighter register chosen to suit the audience.

Right to left everywhere

Layouts, navigation, progress bars, quizzes and certificates mirrored correctly, tested on the phones your staff use.

Native voiceover

Arabic narration by native speakers, with pronunciation and tone agreed with you, plus English voiceover when the course is bilingual.

Bilingual courses

One course, two languages, with a switch on every screen, so mixed workforces learn the same content at the same time.

Localisation of English courses

Text, audio, graphics, examples and assessments adapted and checked, including courses built in Articulate Storyline and Rise.

Arabic LMS and reports

Siraj runs fully in Arabic, including learner journeys, manager dashboards and completion reports for the audit file.

How an Arabic Course Is Built

01Audience and register

We agree who the learners are, which Arabic suits them and whether the course is Arabic only or bilingual.

02Arabic storyboard

The course is written in Arabic and approved by your subject expert before any screen is built.

03Build and voice

Right to left screens, interactions, native voiceover and assessments, built in Storyline, Rise or our own tools.

04Native review and launch

A second native speaker checks every screen, then the course goes live on Siraj or your LMS, as SCORM or xAPI.

Arabic or localised?

Build in Arabic or Localise an English Course?

Both are right in different situations. We will tell you which.

Build in Arabic when

  • the main audience is Arabic speaking
  • the content is about local rules, customers or culture
  • you want the course to sound like it was written for your people
  • there is no good English course to start from

Localise when

  • a strong English course already exists and is approved
  • a global policy must stay word for word consistent
  • you need many languages, not only Arabic
  • budget and speed matter more than a fresh design

FAQ

Arabic E-Learning Questions Answered

Do you write courses in Arabic or translate them?

We write in Arabic when the audience is Arabic speaking. When a good English course already exists we localise it, which includes translation, re-recorded audio, re-laid-out screens and a native review.

Which Arabic do you use?

Modern Standard Arabic for policy, compliance and formal content, or a lighter, more conversational register for service and skills training. We agree it with you at the start.

Can one course run in Arabic and English?

Yes. Bilingual courses carry both languages with a switch on every screen, and the LMS records completion once, whichever language the learner used.

Does your LMS work in Arabic?

Yes. Siraj runs fully right to left, including the learner journey, manager dashboards and reports, and it can be set to Arabic, English or both per user.

Can you localise courses built in Articulate Storyline or Rise?

Yes. We are the official Articulate partner for the Middle East and localise Storyline and Rise courses regularly, including with the Articulate AI Assistant for faster first drafts followed by a native review.

How long does an Arabic course take?

A FastTrack course from your documents takes about a week. A custom Arabic course of 20 to 30 minutes usually takes four to six weeks including review and voiceover. Localising an existing English course is faster.
