LMS requirements checklist for GCC organisations
Choosing a learning management system for a team in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or across the GCC? Tick what you need in eight areas, from Arabic and right to left support to HR integration and certificates, and turn it into a printable list of questions to put to every supplier.
Tick what your organisation needs
Forty requirements in eight areas. Tick the ones you need and mark the ones you cannot do without as essential. Your summary updates as you go, and nothing leaves your browser.

From checklist to a confident choice
A list is only useful if every supplier answers the same questions. Here is how to use yours.
Agree the essentials internally
Ask HR, IT, compliance and the business which items are truly essential before you speak to suppliers. Keep that list short.
Send every supplier the same questions
Print or save your list as a PDF and ask each supplier to answer every line in writing, so the answers can be compared side by side.
Test it in Arabic and on a phone
Ask for a trial with one of your own courses. Switch the interface to Arabic, check the layout runs right to left, and complete the course on a phone.
Check how you would leave
Ask how learner records and completion history can be exported if you ever change platform, and in which format.
Where Siraj fits
If you are building a shortlist, Siraj, our own LMS, is one platform to put through the same questions. Use your list to judge it like any other supplier.

LMS checklist questions
Which requirements matter most for GCC organisations?
It depends on your workforce, but four come up again and again: a genuine Arabic interface that runs right to left, courses in more than one language, a link to the HR system so learner records stay current, and certificates with clear expiry dates for regulated roles.
What is the difference between ticked and essential?
Ticked means you want it. Essential means a supplier is ruled out if they cannot do it. Keep essentials to the few things you truly cannot work without, so you do not exclude good options by accident.
How do I check that Arabic support is real?
Ask for a trial account, switch the interface to Arabic and look at menus, dashboards, certificates and emails. Everything should read right to left, and Arabic search should return results. Then repeat the check on a phone.
Do we need both SCORM and xAPI?
Most ready-made and custom courses are published as SCORM, so SCORM support is the minimum. xAPI is useful when you want to track learning outside traditional courses, such as simulations or on the job activities. Many organisations ask for both.
Can I save or share my checklist?
Yes. Use Print or save as PDF to print the list of requirements and supplier questions, or save it as a PDF to share with colleagues and suppliers. Nothing you tick is sent to us or stored.
Is Siraj the only option you recommend?
No. The checklist works for any platform. Siraj is our own LMS and one option to compare, and we are happy to show how it answers your list in a free demo.
