Welcome to the August edition of our newsletter. Did you miss us in July? Typically the business tempo here in Dubai is a little slower over the summer months. Whilst it was a little bit less than normal, I’m very pleased to say that more e-learning enquiries have continued to trickle in.
I did manage some time away with the family which was brilliant (see my product of the month below!) and now I’m excited for what the rest of the year brings. The best thing about running a 100% remote company, besides all our team loving it, is that I can do most of what I need to do with just my iPad. Whilst I can’t meet clients face-to-face, I’m able to basically do everything else with all the tools our company uses. You should consider it :)
I appreciate that as a new company it can be a real rollercoaster. Sometimes it’s quiet, sometimes it’s manic. I think as a business matures the ‘humps’ tend to level out a little, and as we approach our fourth year in operation I’m starting to sense this. Sure things are still ‘lumpy’, but we have a more predictable flow of ongoing projects, developments and potential deals. I must say I like it!
Work 2.0
I’m thrilled to say that Capytech will be exhibiting for the first time in Dubai this October. We will be at the Work 2.0 Conference (formerly the Training and Development Show) which is running October 3-4 at Le Meridian Conference Centre, Dubai.
I attended the show last year, and figured it was the most relevant one for us. I was also impressed by the proactiveness of Ben Carter who was looking after attendees. Even though I wasn’t exhibiting, he took the time to introduce me to people and get the most out of the show. Ben’s hands on approach has continued as we signed on for the show this year.
We’re really looking forward to attending, and we’ve got some exciting ideas for our stand. If you’ve got any suggestions for how to maximise our time there, this conference novice would love to hear them!
Click the image above to register and attend, or let me know if you want a VIP pass to come along. I’m sure we can figure something out (right Ben?!).
